This experimental sound piece explores the process of recording vocals through over saturation and technological collage. The initial recorded sound was played back in different spaces and recorded with different technologies until the sound was altered to in extent where my vocals no longer were recognizable. Human vocals are inherently analog, when you record yourself into a digital medium, it no longer becomes your vocals. It becomes a representation, which is colored based off of the imperfections and the space you have recorded in.

I am sitting in a room recording my voice. The technologies used to record my voice will alter the sound until it is no longer distinguishable as my voice.
